The Turkey Tail mushroom is one of the quintessential fungi along my walking trail. As the seasons change, I watch the colors shift and rings grow. It carries healing properties, like immune-boosting compounds, that feed your body and mind.
Fill your Turkey Tail mushroom Journal with notes from the woods, thoughts on your days... what ever!
This is a hand-carved image, letterpress printed onto heavy duty 100C cardstock paper, then bound to 50+ pages of smooth creamy text weight paper on the inside (without lines!).
A little more info... This journal was letterpress printed on a press from 1958 in Lancaster, Ohio. The image is printed from an original, hand-carved wood engraving combined. It is printed on French paper (made in the USA). It may only be 5 1/4 x 8, but its a little handmade piece of art for you to love.
Questionable Press is artist and printer Sarah Brown and a few tons of letterpress printing equipment. Sarah hand carves each image and pairs them with vintage hand-set type. She then prints them, one color at a time, in letterpresses from the 1940s and '50s. Using these methods, she makes greeting cards, posters, paper sculptures, and journals.
Sarah grew up in Buckhannon, West Virginia. Not only did her rural upbringing influence her subject matter, it gave her the can-do attitude that a letterpress printer needs to run antique printing presses. Find out more about her process at
