About the Author: 

An urban Appalachian author, M. Lynne Squires is an award winning fiction crafter, poetry dabbler, intermittent blogger, and magazine columnist.

Her latest book, Looking Back at Charleston is a compilation of essays from her magazine column, Looking Back. In full color, the book tells the history of building and landmarks around Charleston, West Virginia in words and photographs.

Writers on Writing, by Squires, is a collection of writer's thoughts on their craft that will encourage through wisdom, experience, and humor.

Her memoir Letters to My Son – Reflections of Urban Appalachia at Mid-Century is a different perspective of Appalachian living during the mid-20th century years. It is a fascinating glimpse into perhaps the most mislabeled population in America – Urban Appalachians.

Along with writing, feeding her visiting groundhog, bird, squirrel, raccoon, and chipmunk buddies holds priority status. When not writing, she enjoys getting together for coffee with women writer gal pals, spending time with her significant other, and trying to tame the skittish black feral cat she dubbed Jet Ferrell.
