Lizard Paper Sculpture
This lizard began life as a flat block. It was hand-carved to create each little line, then printed onto this paper in a vintage letterpress. It is precut and includes adhesive and instructions.
This kit was letterpress printed on a press from 1958 in Lancaster, Ohio. It was printed from a wood engraving- a hand-carved block. It is printed on French paper (made in the USA) and packaged in an eco-friendly sleeve. When flat, the paper measures 8x10.
Sarah grew up in Buckhannon, West Virginia. Not only did her rural upbringing influence her subject matter, it gave her the can-do attitude that a letterpress printer needs to run antique printing presses. Find out more about her process at questionablepress.com
