About the producers:
Our family owns and operates two farms, the Christmas tree farm is near the small town of Friendly, WV, in Pleasants County, and the Maple Syrup Farm is in Sistersville, WV in Tyler County. Debbie and Bill Metz, their son, Chris and his wife Betsy, daughter, Angie and husband Billy, plus grandkids Kyle, Tucker, Abby and Ian all pitch in at the farms to help where they are needed, especially during tree planting and harvest time. It takes a lot of work, but it's not always a flurry of activity. It requires a lot of patience waiting for the sap to start running and the Christmas trees to grow, but we think the wait is well worth it to get quality products worthy of the Cedar Run Farm name.
