Praying Mantis Art Print 8x10

$20.00

This vibrant praying mantis was painted with love by me using watercolors.

My nature illustrations are inspired by the amazing creatures that I encounter on my hikes through the woods. My current series, Tiny Worlds of West Virginia, features a new quirky creature of the region every month with the original up for sale on the first of each month. This praying mantis is part of that series.

This print is 8"x10", which is a standard size to make it easy to find inexpensive framing options. My prints are created by a local print shop in West Virginia and they are printed on heavy, textured paper for the look and feel of watercolor paper. I sign each print before it goes off to its new home.

Hello! I’m Rosalie.

I’m an illustrator specializing in creating captivating hand-rendered visuals relating to the natural world.

I use illustration to honor the places and creatures that often go unnoticed. My goal is to remind viewers of the amazing intricacy of our planet. I hope that after seeing my work, people will spend a few more minutes scouring the forest floor for tiny treasures on their next adventure into the woods.

Another passion of mine is creating illustrations that break down educational and scientific information in a way that is engaging to a broader audience. I want to make learning accessible to work toward a deeper collective understanding of how the earth works.

I am also an educator. So far, I’ve enjoyed teaching field sketching, watercolor illustration & outdoor observation workshops in schools, national parks, and REI stores.

Location: Wheeling, WV
