Rexanna Ross Shumaker has read and traveled widely, and has earned an M.A. in Mental Health Counseling from Marshall University. She lives in Milton, West Virginia, with her husband, Charley, who is retired from the Huntington Fire Department and is currently a flight instructor and owner of a Cessna 172. While at home, she tends to her 20-pound special needs cat, Skeeter, and a rich array of flower and vegetable gardens. She makes her literary debut with this engaging and poignant memoir.
