2027 West Virginia Night Skies Wall Calendar

This 2027 calendar features a collection of photographer Jesse Thornton's recent favorite night scenes in West Virginia, including rare displays of the Northern Lights, striking moon rises, and views of the Milky Way captured in some of the state’s darkest locations.  In addition to major holidays, included within the calendar are meteor shower dates, moon phases and other major astronomical events that can be witnessed without a telescope.

The calendar itself is printed on a high-quality heavy paper with glossy front and back covers. It measures 8.5x11" with saddle-stitched binding and a drill hole for hanging on the wall.

My name is Jesse Thornton, a native of Point Pleasant and current resident of Huntington, West Virginia.  This state is truly an outdoor mecca with a variety of rich scenery, furnishing different looks throughout the four seasons of the year. Influenced by fantasy and science, my aim is to capture the surreal nature of these landscapes in hopes of encouraging others to discover (or rediscover) the beauty of West Virginia!
