Red Eft Sunset

This 11 x 14 inch screenprint is of an original Logan Schmitt illustration featuring a very happy moment for him. While hiking in Dolly Sods in West Virginia, he looked down and saw a Red Eft walking along the moss at sunset. This was the first Red Eft he had seen in the wild and it was very exciting! He took a picture and did a sketch when he got home. Printed on a 100 lb cover weight Cougar Natural paper which is acid free and archival. This is an open edition print. Each print is hand signed by Logan and printed by his friends at Upright Press in Columbus, Ohio. Each print is individually packaged in a clear plastic sleeve with a 4 ply white backer and information card.

Logan Schmitt is an illustrator who grew up in the woods in Wheeling, West Virginia. His fascination with nature and the small places of the forest are ever-present in his work and are a continual source of inspiration. Stylistically, he uses lots of lines and flat colors to present animals and other natural elements in an otherworldly light. When he isn’t illustrating posters for bands or designing t-shirts, you can find him somewhere in the woods or down by the creek. He lives in Wheeling with his wife and owl figurines.
