One of few North American dragons in existence, the Snallygaster is a menace with bird, reptile, and demon-like features, long, grasping tentacles, and a screech like a train whistle. Hunting among the hills and tree lines, the monster swoops down upon its prey and drinks its blood. However, the Snallygaster avoids the hunting grounds of the Dwayyo—its only predator. Early settlers feared the monster, painting wards of seven-pointed stars on their barns and homes. The Smithsonian even offered a reward for its capture, causing President Roosevelt to consider personally hunting the beast.

I'm a pretty quiet person from Southern Ohio that loves monsters, animals, stories, and history. I moved to Fairbanks, AK to study art and received my Bachelor of Fine Arts degree in 2017, afterward moving to & working in El Paso, TX. Currently, I reside in Lucasville, OH.
I enjoy outdoor activities - like hiking, kayaking, and sightseeing - reading, drawing, throwing pottery, sculpting, playing video games, and playing dungeons and dragons with my friends. ~Kristen Puckett - Appalachian Illustrator, Folklorist, & Ceramicist
