When the Center Held True
"This is a skillful debut that draws clear connections between sport and society. Corley Dennison probes the hearts and minds of all his characters. You can feel them viscerally. A book you cannot finish and remain unmoved." Eliot Parker, author of Final Call and Snapshots.
Corley Dennison spent 46 years in higher education and public and commercial broadcasting. He worked at radio stations in Virginia and Missouri and served as vice chair of the Educational Broadcasting Authority for West Virginia Public Broadcasting. During his time in higher education, Dennison was a professor, dean of the School of Journalism and Mass Communications at Marshall University, associate provost at Marshall and Vice Chancellor for Academic Affairs with the West Virginia Higher Education Policy Commission. He now holds the title of Vice Chancellor Emeritus with the Policy Commission and lives in West Virginia with his wife.
