Jawbone and Fern Art Print 11x14

This print was created from my original watercolor illustration that I created during my artist residency with National Audubon Society at Hog Island Audubon Camp in Maine in August 2019.

The painting features a harbor seal jaw bone that washed up on the island, a fern, and a branch of pearly everlasting.

The print was created locally by a small print shop in West Virginia. I used a heavy, textured paper for the look and feel of watercolor paper. I sign each print by hand before it goes to its new home!

Hello! I’m Rosalie.

I’m an illustrator specializing in creating captivating hand-rendered visuals relating to the natural world.


I use illustration to honor the places and creatures that often go unnoticed. My goal is to remind viewers of the amazing intricacy of our planet. I hope that after seeing my work, people will spend a few more minutes scouring the forest floor for tiny treasures on their next adventure into the woods.

Another passion of mine is creating illustrations that break down educational and scientific information in a way that is engaging to a broader audience. I want to make learning accessible to work toward a deeper collective understanding of how the earth works.

I am also an educator. So far, I’ve enjoyed teaching field sketching, watercolor illustration & outdoor observation workshops in schools, national parks, and REI stores.
